Psychiatry is the medical specialty devoted to the study, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental disorders. These include various affective, behavioral, cognitive and perceptual abnormalities. Psychiatrist are medically trained doctors who treat more severe mental illnesses.

Pearl’s Psychiatric team specializes in helping people better manage their feelings and understanding their health conditions. We address the concerns of a variety of people who face broad issues. From sudden problems, such as: panic attacks, trouble concentrating, frightening hallucinations, thoughts of suicide to long-term issues affecting everyday life activities such as: hopelessness, sadness, and anxiousness.

Pearl Health Clinic’s ultimate goal is to find the lowest dose of prescribed medication necessary to treat conditions.

Eliminating patient dependency on harsh substances and regaining control of their life is possible at Pearl Health Clinic. We count on a substance abuse program that provides full support and a solid methodology to a patient’s recovery. The abuse or misuse of Suboxone, or other drugs, including prescription medications, is of concern at Pearl Health Clinic.

Candidates for our program must follow the direction of their physician and other treatment providers. The doctor and other clinicians will be able to determine the level of care needed for a person to become sober and prevent relapse. Regular urinalysis tests are performed in order to both monitor compliance to the program and also to prevent medical concerns for the participant.

Our primary concern is the well-being of the participant, and when an individual fails to comply with treatment, it may pose a risk to their health and safety.

As such, there may be an occasion to discharge an individual from our program or to refer them to another provider or facility that may better meet their individual needs for recovery.

Esketamine, also known as-ketamine or S-ketamine, is the S enantiomer of ketamine, is a dissociative hallucinogen medication used as a general anesthetic and as an antidepressant for treatment of depression.

Both SPRAVATO® and ketamine are Schedule III controlled substances under the U.S. Controlled Substances Act.

Dr. Spencer J. Hood, DO
PGY-3 Psychiatry Resident

Dr. Spencer J. Hood is a psychiatry resident physician completing his psychiatry residency locally in Idaho Falls. He earned his medical degree from Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2024.

Dr. Hood partners with patients to develop individualized treatment plans that support long-term wellness, recovery, and improved quality of life. He is committed to helping patients feel heard, understood, and supported throughout their treatment journey.

He has a special passion for serving the Spanish-speaking community. Before medical school, Dr. Hood worked for several years as a Spanish medical interpreter, gaining firsthand insight into the barriers and challenges many individuals face when navigating healthcare in a second language. That experience continues to shape his commitment to providing compassionate, culturally sensitive psychiatric care and improving access to quality mental health services for patients of all backgrounds.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Hood enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children, learning new musical instruments, and getting lost in a good fiction or fantasy novel.

Dr. Brian Horne, MD
PGY-4 Psychiatry Resident

Dr. Horne was raised in a small town in upstate New York, where he enjoyed running competitively, playing musical instruments, and acting in local theater productions.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts from the State University of New York at Fredonia in 2005. He then spent seven years supporting adults with developmental disabilities, an experience that inspired him to pursue a career in psychiatry.

Dr. Horne earned his MD from Trinity Medical Sciences University in 2023. He is passionate about prioritizing mental health alongside physical health and helping patients function at their highest potential.

Dr. Horne is currently in his final year of psychiatry residency training at EIRMC. In his free time, he enjoys singing, working out, reading, and traveling.

Dr. Anthony Carter, DO
PGY-3 Psychiatry Resident

Dr. Anthony Carter is a PGY-3 psychiatry resident at the psychiatry residency associated with EIRMC in Idaho Falls. He provides outpatient psychiatric care including mood disorders, psychosis, anxiety, and trauma-related conditions.

Dr. Carter takes a collaborative, patient-centered approach and works to tailor treatment plans to each individual’s goals and values. His clinical work integrates evidence-based medication management with psychotherapeutic principles, including cognitive behavioral and supportive therapy techniques.

He earned his medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine and is currently completing advanced training in adult psychiatry.

Dr. Carter also has a background in food science and nutrition, having received a BS in Food Science from Brigham Young University. He integrates his knowledge of nutrition and lifestyle improvements to help augment his psychiatry practice.

Originally connected to the Mountain West, Dr. Carter is committed to serving the Idaho Falls community. Outside of medicine, he enjoys electronic sports, cooking, fitness, and spending time outdoors.

Pamela Campbell

LMSW

Pamela Campbell is a Licensed Master Social Worker who works with teens and adults. Pamela works with those who are struggling with anxiety, depression, stress management and substance abuse.

Pamela believes that individuals are resilient, capable of growth and change, and possess strengths and abilities to overcome challenging life circumstances. She believes in the client centered approach and meeting the client where they are. She incorporates DBT, CBT, ACT and mindfulness techniques to empower clients in their journey toward living within their values and meeting their goals.

Pamela graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Idaho State University and then a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Walla Walla University.

Roxana Lemus

LCSW

My name is Roxana Lemus, and I specialize in providing trauma-informed care for adults and teens seeking healing, growth, and resilience. I believe that every person has the strength within them to overcome life’s challenges, and my role is to walk alongside them with compassion, respect, and evidence-based support.

In my work, I draw on approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help individuals reframe unhelpful thought patterns, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to process and heal from traumatic experiences, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to build skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, and healthy coping. By tailoring these methods to each person’s unique journey, I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel truly heard and empowered.

I am deeply passionate about breaking the stigma around mental health and making sure adults and teens know they don’t have to face their struggles alone. My mission is to provide tools, encouragement, and hope so that healing feels possible, and life feels meaningful again.

Dr. Dawn Cureton

PsyD – Psychologist

Dawn Cureton is a Licensed Psychologist and new to Pearl Health. She provides therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and couples dealing with a variety of mental health concerns. She also conducts psychological evaluations for differential diagnoses. Dr. Cureton completed her graduate work in California, earning both a Master’s and Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology. She has worked in college and university counseling centers, hospitals, community clinics, private practice, and employee assistance programs. While working in community health, Dr. Cureton decided to return to school to obtain a postdoctoral master’s degree in Psychopharmacology. She will soon be prescribing at Pearl Health.

Dr. Cureton believes that change comes from true collaboration—discovering hidden truths about oneself and making moves to do something different, even when we are afraid to do so. She enjoys connecting with individuals and groups in the community by presenting topics related to mental health issues and concerns.

Christina Hollist

Christina Hollist is a Licensed Master Social Worker with two years of experience at Pearl Health Clinic and a background in supporting children, teens, and families. She earned her B.S. in Social Work from Brigham Young University–Idaho in 2018 and her Master’s in Social Work from Utah State University in 2020. Christina works primarily with children and teens, as well as some adults. Her clinical focus includes anxiety, depression, and parent–child relationship struggles. She integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Narrative Therapy to help clients better understand themselves and build healthier patterns.

Believing that connection and safety are central to the healing process, Christina strives to create a space where clients feel comfortable, understood, and supported. She has always had a passion for helping others—especially children and teens who may feel unseen or unheard—and she is committed to being a steady source of hope and encouragement in their lives. Outside of counseling, Christina enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and watching movies and shows. She is also a foster parent and is actively involved in the foster care and school communities.

Rachael Jensen

Rachael Jensen is LMSW who works with a wide range of clients by supporting them in identifying and processing their thoughts and emotions, while developing effective coping skills by clarifying and redirecting distorted thinking patterns. Rachael believes that the mind has the capacity to be developed and strengthened through intentional practice and reflection, serving as a vital tool in emotional and psychological well-being. Rachael prides herself on being able to connect with her clients in an individualized and personal way.

Rachael holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from Brigham Young University–Idaho and a master’s degree in social work from Idaho State University.

Ka-Sia Baumer

Ka-Sia (kuh say uh) or Kay Baumer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who works with adults and motivated teens to help create the best vision you have of your life. Kay helps you unlock the “I am” that you want to be. Kay believes that very few of us outgrow the programming originally learned from the adults around us, much of which is limiting and doesn’t serve us as adults. Kay believes all people have dreams and talents unique to them that often go unexplored or unrealized due to our initial self-limiting programming. Kay believes we are all diamonds in the rough capable of more than even we can or do dream about. Kay helps you become the best you that you can imagine or aspire to be.

Kay was originally educated in CBT and Solution Focused Therapy, became certified in Adlerian Therapy and added DBT, Substance abuse treatment and trauma treatment to her knowledge base. Kay received her BSW at Lewis Clark State College and went on to receive her MSW degree in Social Work from Walla Walla College in Washington. Kay specializes in working with adults that are military, or prior, have substance use disorders, have been incarcerated and/or have complex trauma frequently dating back to early childhood.

Jennifer Collaer

Jennifer is a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) who is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and adults as they navigate the complexities of identity, mental health, and relationships. She has experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, with a particular focus on LGBTQIA+ communities and those facing anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and major life transitions. Jennifer holds a Master of Social Work from Idaho State University. Her experience includes supporting justice-involved youth and providing Community-Based Rehabilitation Services (CBRS) as well as case management. This background has deepened her understanding of how cultural, social, and systemic factors shape each person’s experience.

Jodi Dennett is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) dedicated to fostering healing and growth for individuals navigating the complexities of trauma, domestic violence, and grief. Jodi is a graduate from Liberty University, with a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Jodi’s therapeutic approach is grounded in a comprehensive understanding of neurobiology, seamlessly integrated with evidence-based modalities such as Narrative Therapy, Attachment Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) with a focus on polyvagal and somatic practices to help her clients reclaim a healthy nervous system.

Robert D. Lisota

Dr. Lisota is a clinical/forensic psychologist with over 20 years of psychological evaluation experience serving a wide variety of populations including school students (school psychology), general mental health (outpatient clinical populations), severely mentally ill (inpatient psychiatric populations) and forensic populations (evaluations for the courts including competency to stand trial, criminal responsibility, risk assessment and psychosexual evaluations).

He strongly believes that high-quality psychological evaluations in a treatment setting can assist both treating clinicians and clients to better understand the issues they are dealing with and lead to better and faster treatment outcomes. Rob is licensed in three states and has provided court testimony on numerous occasions at both the state and Federal levels and graduated from Utah State University with a PhD in Clinical Psychology.

Emily Stoddard

LPC

Emily Stoddard is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who works with individuals of all ages as young as 6. Emily earned her bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Brigham Young University–Idaho and as such has worked with teenagers for 9 years then she got her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Alliant International University. Emily has experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum, anxiety, mood disorders, sexual addiction, OCD, and trauma. Emily believes healing comes one day at a time by learning to be open and vulnerable with yourself and others. By developing open honest connections. In her free time, Emily likes to be out in nature and hiking with her dog.

Tiffany Grant

LCSW

Tiffany is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who works with a diverse population of clients utilizing various trauma-informed theories. She is passionate in working with those struggling to cope with any trauma, grief, or loss they have experienced. She recognizes that all trauma has grief, but not all grief has trauma allowing for greater depth in understanding and healing from our past wounds.
 She became a Certified Grief Educator through David Kessler’ program. She continues her grief and trauma education through Grief Educator Alumni trainings. She is a moderator for David Kesser’s on-line grief group.
Tiffany is a grief group facilitator at Pearl Health Clinic. She provides a safe space for clients to process through their emotions and how they are feeling during this painful time with the social support they need. Grief groups allow us to talk about the adjustments we have had to make because of our loss. To learn how to maintain a connection with your loved one while finding a new way forward in life.
Tiffany earned a double Bachelor’s degree from Idaho State University in Psychology and Biology and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Northwest Nazarene University.

Sara Larsen

PMHNP

Sara Larsen is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who looks forward to working with patients of all ages and all mental health concerns. She is an Idaho native and has many years of clinical nursing experience. She completed a bachelor’s degree in nursing, a master’s in nursing education and a post master’s as a mental health nurse practitioner.

She has experience working as a nurse in a variety of places with most of that time in the emergency department, seeing many mental health concerns. She has also worked as an educator in nursing. Something she noticed in all her areas of work is that mental health is complex and a primary factor for a healthy, happy and successful life. She wants to help others achieve mental wellness in whatever way that looks like for them with guidance that may include medications, psychotherapy, lifestyle changes, and forming new healthy habits.

Sara believes that a plan made together in a judgement-free zone is key, along with integration of other services as needed to achieve the individual’s goals for mental wellness. She truly wants others to achieve a healthy, happy life and knows that this is a lifelong journey for all of us.

Lael Reynolds

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Lael Reynolds, PMHNP, looks forward to serving a variety of mental health clients. Lael believes that we are placed on this earth to find our talents, and to use those talents to serve others. Connecting the importance of mental health and our physical wellbeing is one of Lael’s passions.  Lael has over 20-years of experience in perinatal nursing and specializes in women’s mental health.  She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in nursing from Boise State and a Nurse Practitioner Degree specializing in psychiatry and mental health. Lael is a native of Idaho and when she has time off, she loves being outside enjoying this beautiful state. She enjoys golfing, skiing, reading, spending time with her family and friends, and kayaking. She looks forward to serving her community and improving access to care for her patients.

Krystalrose Worthington

LCPC

Krystalrose is a trauma informed therapist who primarily works with adults and adolescents that have experienced single incident trauma or have had a lifetime of trauma. Krystalrose helps individuals recognize how situations that occurred in the past continue to impact our current lives; and with new understanding and perspective a desirable future can be created. Krystalrose believes that by creating a safe place to explore and understand one’s history, a person can go from knowing how to simply survive, to learning how to create the life they desire. Krystalrose works with trauma of all sizes, PTSD, depression, anxiety, BPD, and other mental health issues.

Krystalrose is a trained EMDR therapist who utilizes EMDR and trauma work as the root of all treatment while incorporating Gestalt Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, sand tray therapy, play therapy, and other modalities so each person walking into her room has a unique and individualized experience overcoming their struggles.

Krystalrose found a passion for mental health after changing careers in 2011. In 2011 Krystalrose accepted a position at Pearl Health Clinic as a CBRS while she pursued her counseling degree. In 2014 Krystalrose graduated from ISU as a Mental Health Counselor. Krystalrose is a Nationally Certified Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor.

Keaton Suitter

LPC

Keaton Suitter, LPC, is a counselor who works with individuals, couples, and families to help

create a safe environment where life’s challenges can be explored without judgement and
possibilities for growth can be explored together.

Keaton believes that each person knows themselves better than anyone else. Using this
belief, Keaton takes on a person-centered approach to counseling, helping to explore a
person’s life challenges and together creating plans and actions to work through those
challenges at the person’s own pace.

Keaton also believes that by exploring a person’s emotions to an experience, couples and
families can better understand the challenges they face in their relationships. Using Emotion
Focused Therapy (EFT), Keaton works with couples and families to help understand what
attachment injuries may be in place within the relationship and how clearer communication
can help create a safe atmosphere where people can explore those attachment injuries and
feel safer within their relationships.

Keaton holds a master’s degree in counseling from Idaho State University.

Cory Steele

LPC

Cory is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Integration Specialist, Psychedelic Guide, and Certified Nature Connected Life Coach from the Earth Based Institute. He utilizes nature as a transformative space to foster profound life changes and assist individuals in reconnecting with themselves, others, and their environment. Cory specializes in integrating transformative experiences such as psychedelic sessions, Near-Death Experiences (NDEs), and other crises involving identity loss or existential shifts, with a focus on trauma-informed care.

With over 15 years of in-depth study in psychology (Depth/Archetypal, Existential, and Transpersonal), consciousness, neuroscience, ancient and indigenous cultures, myth, and philosophy, Cory brings a broad and nuanced perspective to his work. His exploration of Eastern traditions over the past decade further enriches his understanding of holistic healing practices. Cory holds a BS in Psychology and an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. As a yoga instructor with more than five years of experience teaching meditation, he incorporates yoga as a holistic tool for somatic trauma healing and integrates trauma-informed principles into his approach.

Cory’s extensive travel—spanning eight years and immersing him in diverse cultures—has deepened his knowledge of various healing modalities. His experiences include participating in a traditional Lakota Wilderness Quest and the rare opportunity to meet with shamans, facilitating numerous ayahuasca and psilocybin sessions for ceremonial and therapeutic purposes. These combined educational and experiential foundations empower Cory to guide clients toward healing, well-being, and wholeness through a compassionate, trauma-informed, and holistic lens.

Kathleen Poduska

LCPC

Kati is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who has experience working with children, adolescents, families and young adults. She addresses a variety of mental health concerns including but not limited to trauma, depression, anxiety, self-harm, and family systems issues. She utilizes several therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, EMDR, and Solution Focused Therapy. Kati takes a person-centered approach and places emphasis on the therapeutic relationship. She understands the importance of adverse events on brain development and applies neurodevelopmental approach to treatment.

Kati grew up in eastern Montana where she attended Montana State University – Billings. She received her Master of Science in psychology. She has spent time as a licensed professional counselor in Montana and Colorado working in several settings including residential treatment centers, psychiatric hospitals, crisis centers, in-home therapy programs and community mental health centers.

Kati looks forward to assisting all individuals she comes in contact with in obtaining  their best possible mental health.

Virginia Ndoro

Ed.D

Virginia is a Psychology Service Extender in Idaho who works with Clients to help them achieve different goals in their current life’s journey. Virginia works at Pearl’s Psychology department where she carries out diagnostic and psychological assessments.

Virginia believes in proactively addressing key concerns that affect children, teenagers, and adults. Early intervention has been researched and found that it often helps people later on to thrive around others who interact with them in life.

Virginia has gratefully worked among various populations with developmental disabilities and social emotional disturbances for a span of years. The experiences have been phenomenal in meeting people from all walks of life and engaging them in their residential comfort zones to the clinical setting.

Virginia has published and published and co-authored articles in peer reviewed journals in fields related to socially significant behaviors for young children and young teenagers.

Virginia holds a doctoral degree in education from Idaho State University.

Daniel McGrath

Psy.D, Psychology Division Manager

Dr. McGrath is a 2011 graduate of the American Psychological Association accredited Marshall University School of Professional Psychology in Huntington, West Virginia, a program which emphasizes a generalist skill set and service with rural and underserved populations. He provides diagnostic assessments, neuropsychological/psychological testing, and psychotherapy for a wide range of ages and presenting problems.

Dr. McGrath approaches problems from a cognitive behavioral perspective, which emphasizes the interplay between a person’s environmental stressors, subjective perception, emotional reactions, and coping responses. He strives to ensure that clients have a chance to be heard and validated, understanding that it is easy to give advice but much harder to put it into practice and effect change in a person’s life.

Doug Hulett

Doug Hulett is a Counselor who works with those suffering from addiction, depression, and anxiety to make change and improve quality of living. Doug believes that every person has within themselves the way to overcome adversity. Ashley Harrinauth

Ashley Harrinauth, (pronounced: Ha-Ri-Noth –her last name is of Sanskrit origin) (she/her) is serving as a service extender at Pearl Health Clinic from the San Francisco Bay Area. She provides psychotherapy and psychological testing to those in need. Ashley believes that “You can’t start the next chapter of your life if you keep rereading the last one”. Her approach for working with clients is to take an investigative and collaborative stance. She supports people to discover, define, and create who they are so that they can live their best lives. Ashley completed an APPIC and APA accredited Internship through the Idaho Psychology Internship Consortium (ID-PIC)at Pearl Health Clinic.

Her clinical experiences are predominately in California, including Oakland Unified School District, Fairfield Unified School District, and many outpatient clinics serving both the general population as well specialized populations (LGBTQ+ folks and adults with intellectual disabilities) spanning from Santa Rosa, California to Sacramento, California. Ashley’s educational attainments are as follows: Psy.D in Clinical Psychology – Alliant International University (2022); M.A. in Clinical Psychology- Alliant international University (2020); M.B.A – Holy Names University (2015); M.A. in Counseling Psychology (2014); B.A. in Psychology – Holy Names University (2011). Additionally, Ashley is a licensed marriage and family therapist in the state of California where she operates a remote telehealth practice. During her free time, Ashley likes to play video games, spend time with her dog, and watch Bollywood movies to improve her Hindi speaking skills.

Caroline Brown

Caroline is passionate about working with clients experiencing behavioral and substance-related challenges. She aims to raise awareness of the systemic cycles that impact individuals, families, and communities. Grounded in an Existential theoretical framework, Caroline helps client’s cultivate awareness and discover meaning through their experiences. She believes that with the right environment that is nurturing and supportive, all clients possess the capacity to achieve their goals.

Caroline earned her master’s degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling from Idaho State University and has since completed her doctorate in Counseling and Counseling Education. Her doctoral research focused on addiction curriculum development and bridging the gap between the training and treatment in addiction counseling, areas she believes are crucial to advancing effective care.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Caroline loves to spend time outdoors, where she can be found chasing after her two pups, Ghost, and Luna. Whether it’s hiking, dirt biking, mountain biking, or snowboarding, Caroline loves to embrace all four seasons of Idaho.

Ananda Lettner

LPC

Ananda is a counselor who works with children, adolescents, and adults. Her philosophy is that every client has an important story to tell, and healing often requires awareness of the mind, body, and environmental factors that play into each unique journey. She works with a range of diagnoses and concerns. Her therapy includes the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, concepts from neuroscience, and other modalities and techniques. Ananda would like all of her clients to know that laughter and tears alike are welcomed.

Ananda lived most of her life in Iowa, but completed her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling in La Crosse, Wisconsin. During that time, she worked as an in-home parent educator for families in the Child Protective Services system and a part-time personal trainer. She moved from Wisconsin to Idaho in 2021 in pursuit of the mountains and a Ph.D. program. Ananda loves trail running, spicy foods, her partner Brian, and their two dogs. She brings hope and enthusiasm to therapy and looks forward to participating in her clients’ journeys to healing.

Misty Moniz

Misty is a licensed master’s level social worker (LMSW). She has been employed as a mental health Therapist for the last 3 years, and has worked in the mental health field since 2015. Misty graduated with her Master’s degree in 2021 from Idaho State University. Over the years, she has gained experience providing various mental health services such as case management, community-based rehabilitation services, and residential habilitation. She has participated in several trainings on specific treatments of mental health issues such as treating anxiety, depression, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, trauma/traumatic grief treatment, and treating oppositional defiant disorder. Misty enjoys working with clients of all ages, but does have a special place in her heart for youth. She is passionate about the work she does and helping others live happy, healthy, and fulfilling lives.

 

Colin Waters

I am Level 2 trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), a model that has transformed the way I help clients heal from trauma, attachment wounds, addiction, shame, anxiety, and depression. IFS allows us to work gently and effectively with the complex inner worlds we all carry, helping clients access the calm, clarity, and confidence of their core Self.
 
I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a powerful, research-supported approach to resolving the effects of trauma and distressing life experiences. My work is further informed by the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT), a brain-based, developmentally sensitive framework that supports nervous system regulation and resilience.
 
For clients of all ages (children, adolescents, and adults), I integrate expressive and experiential approaches including play therapy, art therapy, and sand tray therapy. These creative modalities offer a powerful way to connect with parts of ourselves that may not yet have words—especially for children and adolescents, but also for the younger parts of adults.

Zak Warren, LCPC

Zak Warren has dedicated over 20 years to the mental health field, beginning his career after earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2001. He went on to complete his master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Idaho State University in 2007 and has been a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Idaho ever since.

Zak brings extensive leadership experience to the behavioral health space, having contributed to the development of Case Management services, Medicaid credentialing processes, CBRS programs, and advocacy efforts across Idaho.

He is the CEO and owner of Pearl Health Clinic, which serves East Idaho through four locations. In this role, Zak oversees the delivery of comprehensive mental health services. He is also the President and co-owner of Renewed Foundations; a clinic focused on Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy. A certified Level 2 Gottman Therapist, Zak finds joy in working with couples to help restore relational harmony.

Zak remains deeply engaged in his community and with his alma mater. He serves as a Board Member of the Idaho State University Foundation, which supports the university’s mission through fundraising and donor stewardship. He also sits on the board of the Pearl Cares Foundation, the nonprofit arm of Pearl Health Clinic. In addition, Zak actively supports “1001,” a local mentoring initiative focused on bridging the gap for young adults transitioning into adulthood.

Zak integrates Christian principles into his counseling approach when requested by clients, offering a values-based perspective for those seeking spiritual support. Passionate about helping families heal and thrive, he emphasizes connection, restoration, and hope in all aspects of his work.

Outside of his professional life, Zak has been happily married to his wife Sarah for 24 years. Together they have two children and enjoy traveling, cooking, exploring the outdoors, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers.



Hsiang-Hua Wang

Hsiang-Hua is a Nationally Certified Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. Hsiang-Hua has worked in the school/mental health/helping field since 2014.

She has training working with children, teens, adults and the members from LGBTQIAP+ community. She also speaks Mandarin-Chinese thus she offers Chinese counseling to the clients who prefers speaking Chinese in the session.

Hsiang-Hua uses Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR) and incorporate many varied techniques according to the need of clients including conversational, art, play and mindfulness therapy. Hsiang-Hua has experience working with individuals in PTSD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, depression, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety Disorder, crisis management and suicidal ideations.

Quinn Thibodeau

Quinn is a father, a licensed clinical professional counselor, and an advocate for whoever enters his room. He has practiced in the mental health field since 2004 in outpatient, inpatient, and community settings. He received his undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Pre-Occupational Therapy from BYU-Idaho in 2004 and Master’s of Counseling from Idaho State University in 2009.

Quinn’s primary interests are play therapy, using art, music, and sandtray as modalities to reach children and adolescents, while he also enjoys working with adults to help them overcome any variety personal struggles.

Above all else, Quinn understands that before any child can be helped, he has to listen to the family and learn what unique challenges that family faces and what specific resources and values the family brings to bear. He believes that a team effort is always needed for health and healing.

Quinn loves the beauty of Idaho and enjoys spending time with his family, watching great movies and Red Sox games, and writing/playing music.

Sharee Stuart

Sharee is a marriage and family therapist who works with individuals, couples, and families by working through difficulties including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, suicidal thoughts, behavioral issues, trauma, grief, life transitions, and relational issues.  Sharee utilizes a collaborative approach to therapy and believes each person possesses unique individual strengths which can be utilized to overcome these hardships, increase mindfulness, and improve overall mental health and wellbeing.  She has extensive training in working with couples and families, and enjoys helping clients strengthen these relationships.

Sharee holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marriage and Family Studies from Brigham Young University-Idaho, and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University.

Kelly Stark

Kelly is a counselor who likes to work with children, adolescents, and adults. Kelly works with those who are struggling with stress, anxiety, ADHD, and trauma. Kelly believes that her clients should have a safe place to express themselves. Kelly is non judgmental and always tries to create a safe environment for her clients, to allow clients to work on learning skills that will help facilitate positive change in their lives. Kelly focuses on using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help her clients work on positive changes in their lives. Kelly is a licensed master social work in the state of Idaho. Kelly holds a master’s degree in Social Work with an emphasis on mental health from Walla Walla University. Kelly believes every individual is unique and worthwhile in their own right.

Jaxson Stark

Jaxson is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and has worked with Pearl Health Clinic since 2009 and in the human services industry since 2006. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in psychology with emphasis in family relations and sociology from BYU-Idaho and then his Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling through Capella University in 2009.  He is a National Board CertifiedCounselor (NBCC) and a certified Autplay Therapist (Autism Play Therapy).

Jaxson works with a wide range of clientele but has a special interest and expertise in Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental diagnosis.  He works with children as young as age 4, with adolescents, and adults. He sees individuals with social/communication difficulties, stress and anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, and other mental health concerns.  Jaxson believes that people are doing the best that they know how and that they can change at any time to do better.

Jaxson has taught continuing education workshops and gives trainings on Autism, depression and anxiety for local universities, public and charter schools, and various church/religious groups.

In his free time Jaxson loves to spend time with his wife years and 6 children.  He enjoys home renovation projects, gardening and being outdoors.  He loves to coach football and basketball and enjoys building and empowering youth to become confident leaders.

Ryan Smith

Ryan is a therapist who works with couples and individuals to help them find the peace and healing they are looking for. Ryan knows that life has a lot of twists and turns and that sometimes, it gets really hard to keep your head up, and sometimes we need someone who can help us get through that period in our life. Ryan has helped several couples and individuals find the path they need and helped them to move down that path.  Ryan is a certified couples and individual counselor, with certifications in CBT and DBT and Gottman therapies.

Ryan holds a Masters degree in clinical mental health counseling from Argosy University.

James Resare

James has had experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families and has been in the mental health field for over 10 years. He graduated with a Masters of Counseling from ISU with an emphasis in family systems and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). He has helped people working with Anxiety, Depression, Grief and Loss, ADHD, traumatic experiences, difficult life choices, personal growth, and marital strife.

James Is a father of 6 and is a devoted husband. He likes exploring, going to new places, and learning new things. He spends his free time cooking, reading, singing, and playing with his children.

Adam Nickell

Adam is passionate about trauma treatment and helping individuals overcome the symptoms and lasting impact of trauma.  He understands how difficult it can be to struggle with both, and believes that with the right tools and support people can find ways to progress toward their goals and feel successful.  He loves witnessing people discover and connect with their inner strength and wisdom, empowering them to move forward on their path. He supports individuals in moving forward with their goals and overcoming barriers using Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Neurofeedback, and spiritually based counseling if requested.
Adam worked as an intern and social worker in Fort Hall, Idaho and following his graduation in 2014 he worked in Pocatello and Soda Springs, Idaho in a small group practice.  He moved to Idaho Falls in 2017 when he joined Pearl Health Clinic as a trauma-focused therapist.  He advocates for deep respect for people of all different perspectives, cultures, and identities, and he believes this is critical in providing effective mental health services.
Adam completed the 50 hour basic training in EMDR with Trainer Dr. Phillip Manfield and Consultant Colleen West, MFT in 2015, was EMDR Certified in March 2022, became a Consultant in December 2022, and continues to work toward advanced certifications.   He is IFS-informed and is scheduled for continued IFS training in 2025.

Adam holds a Master of Social Work degree from Walla Walla University and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Idaho State University.

Michelle Marchant

Michelle is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) who works with couples and family counseling, individual adults and adolescents, and loves to engage in play therapy with children by addressing a variety of concerns including stress, anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, self esteem, abuse, trauma, PTSD, attachment, and couple and family relations. She utilizes a person-centered and strengths-based counseling approach, and incorporates existentialism, mindfulness, and self-compassion into her work.

Michelle deeply believes in the intrinsic worth of every human being and seeks to help clients recognize their strengths and gifts as they work through challenging situations. She has a strong belief that individuals have an innate need for acceptance and an emotional connection with others to achieve true wellness, and she strives to provide both during her sessions.

Michelle is a Level 2 Gottman Certified Therapist and has received additional training in couples and family counseling.

Michelle earned a Bachelors of Music degree in Media Music from Brigham Young University-Provo and holds a Master’s of Counseling degree from Idaho State University in Marriage, Couple and Family Counseling.

Cynthia Lemon

Cynthia (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She received her graduate degree in Counseling from Idaho State University.

Cynthia believes in creating a safe and empowering environment for those she has the opportunity to meet.  She works with adolescents and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicidal ideation, trauma, abuse, and other mental health diagnoses. She works with people of all genders and orientations, and clients from diverse backgrounds including those who are part of marginalized communities or minority cultures. Cynthia works with those who are experiencing faith transitions. She is committed to learning and unlearning on a continual basis.

She enjoys traveling to other countries and gaining an appreciation for the strengths in diversity and culture. In her time not spent abroad, she can be found with her husband in the mountains backpacking, skiing, or soaking up the silence.

Shawn LaPray

Shawn is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who enjoys helping people build foundations of resilience and meaning in their lives. Shawn has worked in the mental health field for 14 years upon completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology in 2009 and his Master’s Degree in Counseling from Idaho State University in 2011.

Shawn is experienced in both outpatient and inpatient (hospital) care, having worked with people through all stages of mental health and illness. Shawn has training in Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Shawn especially enjoys working with adolescents and adults with depression and anxiety, helping them to define their own values and goals in order to work towards more authentic and meaningful lives.

Jennifer D. Kerner

Jennifer received her Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from Utah State University in 1990 where she specialized in adolescence and worked with the juvenile detention center in Logan, Utah. She then moved to Kentucky where she worked as a psycho-social rehabilitation worker with the children and adolescents of Appalachia as part of the Bluegrass IMPACT team.

In 1992 Jennifer accepted a position as the head researcher on an adolescent mental health grant with the University of Washington and the Colville Confederated Tribes under the direction of Dr. Jan Bacon. It was here that she gained a great love and respect for the Native American people.

In 1996, Jennifer received her Masters Degree in Counseling with a specialty in school counseling from Idaho State University. She worked as an elementary school counselor and junior high counselor for 8 years in a local school district. During this time Jennifer worked part time as a mental health clinician but chose to become full time in 2003. She has developed a specialty in play therapy and sand tray therapy and has been trained directly by Dr. Gisela Schubach De Domenico who developed the Sandtray WorldPlay Technique.

Jennifer specializes in child development and enjoys working with children

John Collins III

John Collins is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). He has worked in the mental health field for 14 years upon completing his Bachelor’s degree in 2006 from BYU-I. He went on to receive his Masters Degree in 2014 from Walla Walla University and is licensed in the State of Idaho.

John is a retired SGT in the Idaho National Guard that has given him many life experiences to include: Deploying with the 116th BN to Iraq for an 18 Month deployment and third rotation in Operation Iraqi Freedom 2004.

John worked in the community as CBRS and Case Manager for several years while working for the Army National Guard. Upon completion of Military service, he went on to get his Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work with emphasis in Groups, Family, and Trauma.

When John is not working, he is enjoying his time with his 5 creative children and wonderfully supportive and loving wife Jennifer. He is enjoying anything Nerdy, SYFY, and continues to enjoy his trips back in Indiana (He is a transplant Spud) with his loving Hoosier family there.
John has several modalities that he uses in his practice to include Narrative, Gestalt, ACT, EMDR, DBT, CBT, and Solution Focused Therapy. In past John has also worked at BHC as a Primary Therapist and in many Leadership Roles throughout the years in the community. John loves family systems therapy, trauma, and couple’s work.

Bonita Avery

Bonita Avery is a LCPC, Licensed Clinical Director. Bonita believes in a holistic approach that all aspects of one’s life are connected and can improve satisfaction of life if each area is attended to. Bonita works with individuals and families.

She believes in a system approach and that people desire close relationships and family relationships and working to improve these relationships can immensely increase satisfaction in one’s life.

Bonita is a Neurofeedback specialist as well and works with all ages doing Neurofeedback/ counseling. This type of counseling can help with focus, concentration, anxiety, depression, seizures, migraines, mood swings and many other mental health issues. She trained in October of 2012 to become a Neurofeedback specialist.

Bonita graduated with her undergrad in psychology at Idaho State University and went on to earn her master’s degree in Couples and Family counseling from ISU in May of 2012.

Briana Allen

Briana graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Brigham Young University-Idaho and then a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Utah in 2009.

Jake Arbon, MD

Psychiatrist

Dr. Jake Arbon is a resident psychiatrist who works with his patients to achieve better mental health, more fulfilling lives, and personalized individual success. Jake believes that a holistic approach, informed by evidence-backed therapies and medication treatment when appropriate, lead to the best outcomes for the mental health and well-being for his patients. Jake has worked as adjunct faculty of anatomy and physiology at Brigham Young University-Idaho, a resident psychiatrist with the University of Utah, a forensic evaluator for the Mount Sinai Human Rights Program, and a forensic psychiatric expert in both criminal and civil legal cases in Utah.
Jake received psychiatric training through the University of Utah, is an ALTA certified bilingual provider (Spanish), and has received multiple awards, including the Future Physician of Idaho Award for his commitment to medical practice in the Southeastern Idaho community. Jake holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology (with an emphasis in Neuroscience) from Brigham Young University-Idaho, a masters degree in the Science of Health Care Delivery from Arizona State University, and a medical doctorate from Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine.

 

Leslie R. Miller, MD

Pediatrics, Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist

Dr. Leslie R. Miller is a pediatrician and child psychiatrist who works with children and their families to help with a range of mental health challenges. Dr. Miller believes that early intervention is critical to addressing mental health concerns and that when treating a child, you must take a holistic approach in incorporating the adults in their lives into the child’s treatment.

During the early stages of her career, Dr. Miller also completed internships in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem NC, Family Medicine at Piedmont Triad Family Medicine in Kernersville NC, and Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY.
Dr. Miller holds a Medical Degree from East Carolina University, Brody School of Medicine and graduated with her MD in 2019. She also spent time studying clinical bioethics with Wake Forest University Department of Bioethics Graduate Program. She completed the five-year Triple Board residency training in Pediatrics, General Psychiatry, and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana in 2024. Dr. Miller is excited to bring her diverse life experience and training to Idaho and become a part of the Idaho Falls Community through her work at Pearl Health Clinic.

Dr. Miller is a physician who is trained in various therapeutic modalities such as Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Family Therapy, and Multidimensional Grief Therapy just to name a few. Her particular areas of expertise include childhood trauma, grief, children in foster care, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, as well as many other psychiatric illnesses.

Though her career has been filled with highlights, she takes the most pride in making a difference in the lives of her patients and falling into leadership positions, including president of the Tulane Resident and Fellow Congress for 2022-2023. The cornerstone of her success lay in her supportive family. Looking ahead, Dr. Miller intends to train others through community advocacy in Idaho and local medical training programs, as well as maintaining her own standards for excellent patient care.

Andria Dotson, FNP-C, APRN
Family Nurse Practitioner

Andria Dotson is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner at Pearl Health. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Idaho State University and her Master of Science in Nursing from Northwest Nazarene University, where she developed a strong foundation in evidence-based practice. This academic background enhances her ability to provide thoughtful, research-driven, and compassionate care for her patients.

Andria has a particular passion for trauma-informed and holistic care. She values treating the whole person, recognizing that nutrition, sleep, movement, and emotional well-being are deeply connected to both physical and mental health.

Her background in teaching further strengthens her ability to educate and empower patients, helping them understand their health and make informed choices. Combined with clinical experience in family practice, pediatrics, wound care, and mental health, she brings both expertise and empathy to her practice.

Known for being both highly knowledgeable and genuinely kind, Andria strives to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where patients feel supported and encouraged in their health journey.

Christopher Jankowski

Christopher Jankowski, FNP, PMHNP is a Board-Certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Provider who combines deep clinical expertise with a compassionate, patient-centered approach. With more than a decade of diverse experience spanning community health, emergency medicine, and outpatient psychiatry, he offers care that is both highly skilled and deeply human.
Christopher provides comprehensive psychiatric services for children ages six and older, adolescents, and adults, treating a wide range of conditions including ADHD, OCD, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, and sleep disorders. As a Spanish-speaking provider, Christopher is dedicated to expanding access to care and reducing disparities within the Latino community. He is also certified in substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and offers advanced therapies such as Spravato (esketamine) treatment, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Medical Weight Loss, and Metabolic Support. By addressing both the mind and body, he helps patients achieve sustainable improvements in mental health, physical well-being, and quality of life.
Christopher provides care across three Pearl Health locations, including Ammon, Idaho Falls, and Pocatello.
Outside of his clinical practice, Christopher values balance and resilience, often spending time backpacking, fishing, hiking, and mountain biking with family and friends.

Tyler Pond

I am a native to Ammon, Idaho where I attended Hillcrest High School. I first explored the Medical field when I completed my CNA training in high school. Following this I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Health Science with an emphasis in Child Development at Brigham Young University-Idaho. Upon graduation I spent two years working as a Community Based Rehabilitation Service Worker locally where I was introduced to Mental Health. I went on to earn my Master’s Degree in Clinical Medical Science where I obtained my Physician Assistant Certificate from Barry University- USVI campus.

I am the type of person who focuses on others needs. I possess a natural interest to say, do, and be whatever is needed to aid in recovery processes. In part, I chose to work in Mental Health to provide coverage for an area that seems to be more and more needed. Growing up in Idaho I have recognized that this great state is underserved in Mental Health. As a Medical Provider I hope that I will help bridge this gap of disparity.

Benjamin Pixton

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Benjamin Pixton is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) who works with those who have psychiatric disorders to help improve and treat their symptoms.  Ben strongly believes that with the assistance of counseling and medication the symptoms of almost any psychiatric disorder can be treated and improved.  Ben has worked with psychiatric populations across the lifespan for 6+ years in both inpatient and outpatient settings and has assisted hundreds of individuals as they improved their lives.  Benjamin Pixton holds a Masters in Nursing from Walden University and is certified and licensed in the State of Idaho to provide treatment as a PMHNP.

Madison Groberg

PA-C, Physicians Assistant

Madison Groberg is a Certified Physician Assistant who works with patients of all ages to treat a variety of mental health concerns. She is originally from Temecula, California but moved to Utah to attend undergraduate and graduate school. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Spanish minor from Brigham Young University. She then received her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo, UT. She has broad training in treating mental health conditions due to her educational background including seeing patients at an Addiction Recovery Center, the Emergency Room, and Pediatric and Family Practice clinics.

Her interest in the medical field started young through inspiration from her parents who are both medical professionals. She first explored the medical field on her own by obtaining CNA training and working at an Assisted Living facility. She has a particular interest in bridging healthcare disparities within the Hispanic population. She is a self taught Spanish speaker and has been able to use that ability to improve patient care by volunteering with the Red Cross Hispanic Outreach program, free health clinics, on a humanitarian medical trip to Guatemala, and various other opportunities. She believes in giving the best care possible to each patient regardless of background, culture, or medical condition.

Madison strives to take the time to genuinely listen to each patient’s needs and concerns because she believes the best care happens when there is trust and respect between the patient and provider.

Anna Palmer

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Anna Palmer has been practicing as a nurse practitioner since 2015 and she has been with Pearl Health Clinic since 2016. She obtained her undergraduate and graduate training at the University of North Dakota and completed a post graduate certificate in psychiatry in 2023 at Walden University in Minneapolis, MN. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner she was a surgical assistant and then an RN in variety of settings, including inpatient care, NICU, pediatrics.

Anna has extensive experience in management of variety of psychiatric conditions. She works most often with patients suffering from addiction, mood disorders, anxiety, PTDS, and comorbid chronic pain issues. She believes in a collaborative and patient-centered approach to care that combines psychopharmacology, supportive therapy, and psychoeducation of the patient.

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Nicole Boyle is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Nicole will be evaluating and treating children and adults of all ages.
Nicole knows that mental health challenges are complex and she believes in taking the time to understand each individual’s situation and goals. She also believes in taking the time to explore the potential benefits of medications, counseling, and lifestyle changes in the development of a comprehensive treatment plan. Nicole  works hard to foster a trauma-informed, judgment-free environment for patients.
Prior to her work as a Nurse Practitioner, Nicole worked as a registered nurse in the emergency department for almost 15 years. From her experiences, she gained insight into the many dimensions of human suffering. Nicole loved being able to offer hope to individuals through caring and skilled interactions and seeks to continue that work at Pearl Health Clinic.
Nicole has training in various modalities of psychotherapy and medication management. She received her Doctorate of Nursing from the University of Utah.

Dr. Kwadwo Saka, MD
Psychiatrist

Dr. Kwadwo Saka is a resident psychiatrist who works with adults, youth, and geriatrics. Kwadwo believes in a practice focused on a holistic and evidence-based approach. His goal is to help patients reach their highest potential in addition to feeling motivated and fulfilled. He focuses on developing a therapeutic alliance, understanding the scope of details in complicated life circumstances, and tailors a unique and effective set of interventions for his patients. His experience to date includes child and adolescent inpatient psychiatry at EIRMC-BHC and State Hospital South’s adult and forensic department. He has a keen interest in the youth population and is involved in research investigating substance use and associated mood disorders. Kwadwo’s distinguished skills and knowledge lead him to serving as a chief at his current residency program at EIRMC. Kwadwo holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Trinity School of Medicine and a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from the City University of New York. Upon completion of residency, he plans to pursue a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Jayde Barnes

Jayde Barnes is a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner that works with patients of all ages to help them achieve mental wellness.  An Idaho native, she g

raduated from Rigby High School and completed an undergraduate degree in Microbiology at the University of Idaho.  She continued her studies in the field of nursing and received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Idaho State University.

She has experience working in a variety of health care settings, including an inpatient facility at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, skilled nursing facilities, and several outpatient clinics across Southeastern Idaho.  Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Jayde worked as an educator for nursing students and helped foster a positive learning environment for new healthcare professionals.

Jayde has experience in the assessment and treatment of depression, anxiety, OCD, mood disorders, and PTSD, and has a special interest in addiction treatment.  She believes in a collaborative and integrative approach to her work that includes psychopharmacology and supportive therapy, and works with clients in developing patient-centered treatment plans that support their goals as individuals.

When she’s not treating patients, she likes to spend her free time traveling, camping, and fly fishing with her family.

Dr. DeNagy, MD has practiced in the arena of psychiatric and complex medicine in Eastern Idaho for over thirty years. He specializes in difficult to diagnose clients that present with a wide variety of real world problems.

He was trained at Drexel University School of Medicine (formerly Hahnemann University) in Philadelphia, and completed Medicine Internship and Residency at The University of Vermont, in Burlington. He teaches continuing Education at the Department of Counseling at Idaho State University, and consults with a variety of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers.

He is also a waivered physician with regards to opiate addiction treatment and is licensed to prescribe buprenorphine for opiate addiction. He treats all forms of addiction. Interest areas include disorders of mood, and thought, as well as developmental disabilities and autism. He is certified as a Clinical Psychopharmacologist by the American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology.

He believes in a team approach to mental health treatment and works closely with other mental health providers to establish a comprehensive treatment program. Particular attention is paid to the detection and presence of confounding medical illnesses that may imitate, or worsen psychiatric illness.
