Ms. Watkins was born in Arizona and grew up all over the state. After high school and two years of college, she decided to travel and ended up in Chile, South America for nearly two years. While she loved the country and its people, she missed home and returned to Arizona where she met and married her husband.

She and her husband have five children, whom they raised in Arizona and later in California; four children-in-law, who all joined the family when the Watkins clan moved to Idaho; and eight grandchildren.

Ms. Watkins has been counseling for nearly a decade and has worked with many diverse populations. She currently works with the drug and alcohol program at the Pearl Health Clinic on Lomax location, working with clients, their families, and others affected by substance use. She also works with couples and individuals, as well as families in crisis.

Ms. Watkins enjoys gardening, remodeling, designing furniture, traveling, being a wife, mom, and Grammy, dancing, hiking, and beating her friends and family members at card games.

Currently, she divides her time between therapeutic counseling, mediating disputes for the Idaho Supreme Court Family Court division, being Grammy to her grandchildren, and serving her community as a City Councilwoman.
