John Collins is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. He received his Masters in 2014 at Walla Walla University. John received his Bachelors in Sociology at BYU-Idaho in 2006. He has worked in the mental health field since 2006.
John has worked at Pearl Health as a Case Manager/ Psychosocial Rehabilitation for 5 years. He has also worked at the Behavioral Health Center at EIRMC as a Primary Therapist 2014-Present and was a lead Therapist. He has also worked for private practice during this time concurrently while working at hospital. John uses several theories in his practice that include Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Family and Couples Therapy, Play Therapy, Trauma Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused.
John enjoys groups and participates with the Intensive Outpatient Therapy at Pearl Health.
He enjoys his NERDY hobbies and most importantly finding balance and mindfulness with his Family, Spirituality, and Work. John has been married for 17 years to his companion Jennifer and has 5 spunky and talented children. He is a retired SGT from the National Guard and has been deployed to Iraq in 04-05 Operation Iraqi Freedom.
